Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
Tomorrow will be a lovely day of eating a lot, and sleeping more. Even though this is usually a day of major self indulgence, it’s also an opportunity to do some good for the environment. When everyone else is buying disposable roasting pans and throwing out tons of trash and leftovers, you can make your contribution with some simple and fun ideas.
I thought you all might injoy this great site about the top 10 tips for an eco-friendly thanksgiving. The article covers things like recycling, buying locally grown food and other earth friendly ideas. Personally I’m a fan of tip 4, celebrating at home, but it never happens.

Tis the season of shopping…keep it green!
Many of us don’t know what to buy our friends and relatives during the holidays so we resort to useless ’stuff’. So if you’re going to buy some ’stuff’ why not keep it sustainable and nontoxic? Instead of wasting your time on Google searching for green gifts for the holiday I did it for you.
Target.com seems to be the winner for affordable eco-gifts. Some are a little lame, but take a look around. Here are some cool ideas: recycled paper bowls, recycled wine glasses, confetti bowls, elephant poo notebook (we sell this in our retail store also), recycled newspaper vase, and I think you get the idea.
Verdant Computing has a solar power back pack. How fun is that?
Certaintees - bamboo/organic cotton tees. I love the freedom designs.
Christmas Ornaments or jewelry made from recycled glass or.
If your just not into the shopping thing this year (or ever), just go for a green gift bag GoGreenGift.com
Happy Green Shopping!

This is a really cool tool you can use to compare virgin paper to other papers. The Paper Calculator will calculate: energy used, waste reduced, trees saved, water saved, etc. Try comparing the paper usage in your business or school at 0% and 100% post consumer waste (PCW) and see how much energy, water and CO2 are saved- not to mention trees!
For instance, if your office uses 1 ton of paper per year and you switch to 100% PCW paper, you’d keep 2,460 lbs of CO2 out of the atmosphere and save 26 trees. Pretty cool, right?
Pixxlz is committed to being green and that’s why we offer 100% PCW paper. Try out the Paper Calculator and see how important it is to be green!
